By tram/bus

The shuttle bus Veurne South-West (line 57) will take you from Veurne straight to Beauvoorde Castle. You can book the shuttle bus via +325 956 52 56. You can book your transport up to 14 days in advance and no later than two hours before departure.

By car

Fill in this address in your GPS: Wulveringemstraat 10, 8630 VEURNE. Some navigation systems recognise 'Kasteel Beauvoorde" as a POI. If so, you can simply select "Kasteel Beauvoorde" in the menu. Note that there is no parking lot near the castle. You can simply park your car in the village.

By train

The train station closest to Beauvoorde Castle is Veurne. Plan your journey via NMBS.

By bike

At Veurne station, you'll find a range of shared bicycles that you can borrow for as long as you need. When you're done using them, simply return the bikes to any of the 6 designated parking spots in Veurne, De Panne, or Koksijde. For more details, visit the City of Veurne website.

Are dogs allowed inside the castle?

No, there are no pets allowed inside the castle. Dogs are allowed in the castle park, but they must be kept on a leash.

Is the castle park accessible during the restoration work?

The park will mostly be freely accessible. A small part will be occupied by construction facilities. The park will also be redesigned (from 2024 - 2028). Check the restoration blog for further updates.

How can I sign up as a volunteer?

Would you like to become a volunteer at Beauvoorde Castle? Wonderful! Whether you prefer getting hands-on or you're more of a born storyteller, there's something for everyone. Please contact us for more information via info@herita.be or consult our website.

Is Beauvoorde Castle accessible for wheelchair users?

As part of the restoration, they are improving the accessibility of this historic building. The park and visitor center will stay open and are wheelchair-accessible. There's also an adapted restroom for wheelchair users at the visitor center. You can also take a virtual tour of the castle!

Can I picnic in the castle park?

Yes, you can bring your own picnic and enjoy it in the castle park.

Can I get something to eat or drink at Beauvoorde Castle?

At the visitor center, you'll find a terrace with a vending machine offering refreshing drinks and local beers. Inside our shop, you can purchase delicious snacks. Moreover, just down the street, you'll discover the cozy eatery Poule Bart. During the summer months, there's a delightful pop-up coffee bar named Toe Tuzend.
