How am I valued as a volunteer?

At Herita, we believe that volunteers should be honoured, sometimes literally, sometimes figuratively. We are always looking for new ways to show our appreciation and invite our volunteers to events.

Only some structural tasks are eligible for a volunteer fee. If a financial compensation applies to a certain task, this is explicitly mentioned.

Am I insured as a volunteer?

Yes, absolutely. Herita finds it important that you can work safely as a volunteer and that you do not have to worry. During the execution of your task (and training) as a volunteer you are insured for physical damage that you could incur. When you cause damage to third parties during and by the execution of your  task, volunteers are covered by a civil liability policy, taken out by Herita. The insurance applies after signing a volunteer contract with the community manager.

Can I provide input myself?

Herita strives for open communication: do you have fun ideas, do you have questions or comments? Speak up. We will work on them together. Can't work it out with your local supervisor? Then please contact the central community manager.
